Max Mollenkamp - Director of Bands
Max Mollenkamp joined the Streamwood faculty as Director of Bands in 2021. His responsibilities include directing Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, as well as the pit orchestra for the fall musical. Additionally, Mr. Mollenkamp directs the Canton Middle School Band and teaches Beginning Band sectionals at the elementary schools. Prior to working in District U-46, Mr. Mollenkamp served as Assistant Band Director at Pioneer Heritage Middle School in Frisco, Texas. Under his direction the PHMS Concert Band earned Superior ratings from all adjudicators at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Festival.
Mr. Mollenkamp is originally from Jefferson City, Missouri. He attended the University of North Texas and graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelors of Music in Music Education. While at UNT, Mr. Mollenkamp performed with the Symphonic Band, 5 O’Clock Jazz Lab Band, Trombone Choir, Basketball Band, Marching Band, University Singers, and West End Vocal Jazz. He also served as the lead field technician for the Marching Band. Mr. Mollenkamp also performed with Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps on euphonium and mellophone. Mr. Mollenkamp lives in Evanston with his spouse, Hannah, and their two cats, Dewey and Hobbes. While not teaching, Mr. Mollenkamp enjoys dancing, singing, and spending lots of time outdoors. |
Anetta Fortner - Assistant Marching Band Director

Anetta Fortner is thrilled to be joining the Sabre Band staff this year as assistant marching band director. This is their third year in District U-46 where they serve as elementary band director for the Kimball and Abbott area elementary schools, as well as assisting middle school sectionals at Abbott.
Mrs. Fortner is currently pursuing their masters in Music Education at Butler University and has their Bachelors of Music in Music Education with a Minor in Arts Administration as well as a Segal Design Certificate from Northwestern University where they participated in the Marching Band, Basketball Band, Symphonic Band, Philharmonia, and SAI. Mrs. Fortner lives in the suburbs of Chicago with their husband and two cats, Link and Ikki. |
Jen Bell - Color Guard Director
Jen Bell is so excited to join the 2022 Streamwood Marching Sabre Band Staff this year! Jen is coming to Streamwood with 21 years of Colorguard experience. They first fell in love with color guard in High school at Victor J Andrew in Tinley Park where they marched in fall and winter for four years before graduating and marching with Independence Winterguard in 2008. They then coached at University High School in Normal, IL for five years. They most recently marched with Chicago Pride Guard this summer. Jen also played percussion in concert band and marched cymbal line with the Big Red Marching Machine at Illinois State University.
